Vicky Atkinson is a paramedic and has a bachelors degree from Stephen F. Austin State University.She has been in EMS for 15 years, the last two of those years for ETMC-EMS.
In those 15 years, she has volunteered in rural Deep East Texas, worked as a dispatcher answering 911 call, worked on the ambulance for a 911 system, taught EMS courses for those that want to work on an ambulance and those that need to maintain their certification. Currently she teaches courses but focus more on public education.
